Comparative essay

The first story, "Boys will be boys", is about two girls that are confused by lecture because they think that they are boys. The second story,"Equal Rights", is about a girl that was looking for a job but she realize that boys were better paid than girls.
In both stories the common theme is discrimination, in the case of "Boys will be boys" the discrimination appears when they judge the girls mistaken the boys because they thought that boys made that stuff of things.
There are many differences in both stories. In the two stories there's a great case of machisim and feminism because in "Boys will be boys" the symbolism of making  problems is represented through the boys, that girls are good. And in "Equal rights" the machisim is represented in the way that men represent a higher place in society than women.
The similarities of both books is that in the two of them the principal characters are girls. In both cases the problem are the boys. In "Boys will be boys" the problem is like everything that girls make are things that boy would do. And in a way "Equal rights" the girl would like to have the rights of the boys.
I prefer "Boys will be boys" because when I, being a girl, make something wrong the first thing people thought is that my brother make it. Confusing the attitudes of girls for boys is something people usually do because they have this images of boys being rude and they don't wanna accept that girls are getting the attitudes from boys.

  1. Well done girls.
You express interesting ideas in the 2nd paragraph when you mention sexism and power conflicts.
It would have been great to refer to the fact that both girls solve their problems by deceiving an adult. Is it that girls are thought to be clever... or cheaters?
